Friend of mine is looking for another car after just selling his unreliable daily. He currently has a s2000 and is looking for a new daily. He is looking for something short to fit in the driveway, fun, reliable and around $10k. We’ve thought of a NC Miata or a 500 Abarth. Looking for more suggestions!

I’m starting to wonder if these things have depreciated as far as they’re going to.

When I think reliable, I always thing FIAT.

Wait, no. That’s not right. How is an S2000 not reliable? Does your friend know what maintenance is? please ignore I’m an idiot.

Well no the Abarth isn’t exactly super reliable but it sure is pretty fun. The s2000 is the weekend car not the daily he sold.

Why would he daily a Miata if he has a S2k already? And what’s going to be fun short, reliable and around 10k that isn’t better than the S2k? WRX?

Actually, they aren’t that unreliable - a lot of the issues are for minor stuff (Entertainment system, etc). The mechanicals are pretty solid AFAIK.

Short, fun, reliable - you just described the Honda, Fit.
